  • This is the summative assessment for the CSE1120: Structured Programming 2 module.

How it Works:


Assessment:

  • You'll receive a 1-7 grade and comment for each step in the project.
  • Once complete, you'll receive an overall 1-7 grade for this project.
  • These grades and feedback will be shared via the project rubric.
  • The overall grade will be entered into the Gibbon markbook.
  • Be sure to read the Project Rubric so you're familiar with how this project will be graded.

Your Presentation
Details

  • This presentation is an opportunity to demonstrate the concepts you've learned in this module by connecting them to examples from your own code.
  • Your goal is to explain these concepts to your audience in a recorded presentation.
  • Your presentation should include written descriptions and visual examples (screenshots), as well as audio.
  • You do not need to present this to the class, however you need to include an audio narration in your own words.
  • You can choose whichever tool you'd like to create and record your presentation. Some ideas include:
    • Google Slides with embedded audio
    • Loom screen recording
    • iMovie slideshow

These are the concepts to include in your presentation. The following questions are intended as prompts to get you thinking about these concepts, you do not need to answer them explicitly in your presentation, but they may help get you started:

  • Algorithms
    • What are they, how are they useful?
  • Loops
    • What are they?
    • How do you create a loop?
    • What is a nested loop?
  • Functions
    • What are parameters?
    • What are return statements, how do they work?
  • Arrays
    • How are arrays useful?
    • How do you create and manipulate arrays?
  • Objects
    • What are they, how are they useful?
    • What are properties?
    • What is dot notation?

For each concept:

  • Include a description for each concept with few sentences in your own words.
  • Include a screenshot from your own code or one of your p5.js projects that helps support the idea in the presentation.
  • Include an audio narration explaining this concept.
