We are seeking an Instructional Assistant, to support our new work skills programme for 18-25 year olds with diverse learning needs.
ICHK Summits is a three year programme, inspired by ICHK’s inclusive and innovative philosophy and practices. It is aimed at bridging the gap between education and adulthood, offering participants internships, mentoring and targeted social skills training. It will run from a non-profit learning space and social enterprise in Central from September 2026.
The role offers a unique opportunity to be a part of the ICHK community and support the work we are doing to prepare neurodivergent young people for adulthood and the world of work.

Job Description: ICHK Summits Instructional Assistant
The Instructional Assistant will:
- Provide support to the Summits teachers and learners during Summits operating hours in accordance with the ICHK Summits calendar
- Work with learners in-session on a whole group, small group or one to one basis, helping them to meet their individual potential and any targets as advised by the Summits teacher in the centre and during internship opportunities
- Facilitate holiday programmes and activities

Help learners develop and maintain appropriate social skills to support them in being
fully integrated members of the class and work environments - Support the learners in accessing and understanding concepts, processes and systems covered within the programme
- Assist in the implementation of the relevant Learner Support Plan (LSP)
- Attend relevant meetings before or after the Summits operating hours
- Build and maintain positive relationships with the learners, families and staff
- Take part in staff professional development, if any, as recommended
- Take part and support learners in off-site activities and internships
- Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and reports relating to the learner
- Support the teachers in teaching the programme and preparing resources
- Cover the teacher’s role in their absence
Person Specification:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Thoughtful conduct and the ability to work smoothly and harmoniously with other
members of staff - Motivated by working as part of a team and with young people
- Ability to lead and act on one's own initiative.
- Sense of humour and emotional resilience in the face of complex and multiple tasks
- Knowledgeable regarding the Summits Code of Ethical Conduct
- An effective and confident communicator with all sections of the learning and Summits community
- Willing and able to collaborate
- Patient, energetic and sympathetic
- Sensitivity to cultural norms and a commitment to working proactively with community members from diverse backgrounds.
Requirements:
- Experience working with adolescents and/or young adults with diverse learning needs
- Familiar with workplace environments in Hong Kong preferred
- Bachelor’s degree desirable
- Native/fluent English speaker
- The right to work in Hong Kong essential

Learning Support Assistant (Chinese)
Job Type: Support
We are looking for a learning support assistant to support students with a range of individual needs in lessons, small groups or on a one to one basis in the Chinese department. ICHK's learning support programme is an integral part of the school and you will be working in a busy and dynamic environment with a strong emphasis on outdoor and experiential learning. We are looking for a candidate who:
