Maybe we want to get extra pocket money, to stay out a bit later on the weekend, or ask for an extension on homework? If we have a a product or idea that we want people to buy, we need to be able to tell them why it will be worth their time/money.

How to Sell A Product - Sell Anything to Anyone with The 4 P's Method
Task: Use the Photo Booth video recording app. on your Mac to record a one minute explanation of Promise, Picture, Proof, Pitch.
Additional: (More difficult but explains some of the psychology behind persuasion.)
In this video, Dr. Robert Cialdini breaks down the science of persuasion into 6 key ideas.
1. Reciprocity
2. Scarcity
3. Authority
4. Consistency
5. Liking
6. Consensus
(Use a dictionary/thesaurus to check the meanings of these words.)
Task: Use the Photo Booth video recording app. on your Mac to record a one minute explanation of at least three of these ideas.
- Work through the ideas on the ppt.
- Choose one item/product/issue that you wish could be banished from the face of the earth….
- NOW….
- Your task is to sell this product to the members of your group using the persuasive techniques you have studied.
- Aim for at least 150 words.
Every good brand has a powerful logo and a catchy slogan. Check out the Top 10 Advertising Slogans-- you'll certainly recognise some of your favourite brands there.
Do some Google research and add 10 more of what you think are the best slogans to your Free Learning Google doc.
